I've had my technique for 6 months and just replaced the batteries in the motion detectors. I assume that employing better high quality batteries than those offered will mean changing them closer to when a year. Not negative at all, given that I do not have to run any wires to these places.
I opted not to use the window/door sensors, as they look somewhat tacky in my opinion. Rather, I got a couple extra motion detectors to supply total coverage of my property. The sensors are somewhat adjustable. On the default setting, they do pick up my four pound dog.
In the past 6 months, I haven't had any false alarms exactly where I could not determine the trigger. There have been several days exactly where I forgot to disengage the program and walked appropriate through the motion detection field. Clearly, I can not blame that on the method.
General, I'd say this is an fantastic technique for the cost. The control pad looks kinda low-priced, so I did not prominently display it in my home. It is in a closet. The motion detectors are quite small and unobtrusive. I've told family members and pals that I have the alarm program and most of them didn't have any idea, as the detectors blend in rather properly.

Hi every person, i ordered the Skylink SC-100W (newer model) and received mine 2 days ago. I set it up yesterday. Due to the fact the technique comes pre-set it only took me 30 minutes. The only factor i had to change was the passcode. The motion detector alone would have been enough for me as that factor is as sharp as a needle. Since i have no pets and no kids i have mine on high and it is great. The window/door sensors took a bit of playing about with but they are operating fine (for now). I have my alarm on "Chime" mode for the reason that the siren is exceptionally loud, my ears were ringing all night immediately after i had tested it. However i have amazing comfort knowing i can use the panic button on my keychain to activate the siren if i really feel i'm in danger. It's so loud that my neighbours will hear it and will be calling 911 in no time. I had the alarm on all night and had no false alarms. It has only been 1 night but i am extremely pleased with the method. I am told this a newer model, i am not rather confident how it differs from the Skylink SC 100 Deluxe Kit. If anybody could tell me the distinction that would be good. All in all i'm really content with the method and i am giving it four stars for the reason that of how sharp the motion sensor is and mainly because the siren is extremely loud. I sleep properly at night....quite well.
