This water sensor works. Every house should have one, just as we have smoke alarms. It won't save your life, but it can save you a lot of grief, aggravation and water damage from from problems with a washer hose, water heater or leaky basement.

It was an easy install. I am using it to signal when my water heater leaks. It tested fine with a small spill of water. Sound was loud enough to be heard upstairs.
