Order the detector to comply with the new CO law in California. I already have the USI detectors in my home and it was easy to replace one of the detectors with this model. Just un-plug and replace.

I bought this thinking that it would be a easily snapped on my existing USI smoke detector. It was not. I had to hot wire this unit. So now instead of buying 6 more of the same brand, I'll buy the one with the best review in Amazon.
