Well, I bought this lock and put in on my bike. I worked great from the beginning. Installation was a PITA because once the battery goes in. It will not stop wailing until is completely reassembled and the key is taken out. Please get yourself some ear plugs and warn people near you. (The alarm is very loud indoors).
Also, please separate and save one of the keys in a safe place before you do anything with it.
After just the very first use, I lost the keys and I learned really how good this lock is.
I called 2 local motorcycle shops and they were at first very confident they could just cut it or get a locksmith to pick it.
Results:
Locksmith: Failed
Professional 48 in. Heavy Duty Bolt Cutters: Useless
Freezing, beating, submerging the lock to disable the alarm: Unsuccessful.
Final solution: They towed the bike (with alarm going off all the way) Once in the shop, I believe they dismounted the front wheel, dismounted Brake disc, Put disc on a bench and went to work for a couple hours with a Professional angle grinder. I was told, the whole time they were cutting, the alarm was going off. When I went to pick up the bike they say: "Wow! that's on hell of a lock man! It drove us all crazy here with that alarm".
Needless to say: I bought another one : ) If it is that difficult to get out, it may discourage some opportunist thief from just rolling away with the bike. However, this time I'm keeping a key on a safe place even before taking the lock out of the package.

This lock is great, says 110dbs but really its 120dbs on the sound, any little movement that baby will go off for about 15 seconds, then rearm. Love this lock. This model is one of top models of xena locks. Don't leave home without it.
