There are so many aspects that I like about this product! First, it fits very comfortably in the palm of your hand. I loop my wrist through the cord and then hold the device in my hand. Most people don't even notice you are holding it. Since this device is meant to startle any potential attackers, they wouldn't even notice it in your hand. With the wrist cord being looped around your wrist, you would have no trouble pulling the pin out to activate the alarm. The pin is a little bit snug, but I think you would want it to be. This prevents any accidental activation of the unit. The size and shape of the unit is very appealing; it is about the length of a candy bar just a bit slimmer. Also, it is NOT heavy at all. It feels to be about the weight as a typical butter knife. It is VERY comfortable and easy to carry. Second, it is VERY loud! I bought this device and another that was only 120 decibels and was surprised at how much louder 130 decibels was over 120 dbs. The color is exactly as it appears in its picture. As a nighttime college student, it gives me just that added feeling of security when walking through nearly deserted campus buildings and semi-dark parking lots. Many college students fail to check their school's campus regulations and are surprised to find out that most schools prohibit the carrying of mace and stun guns, so this is an EXCELLENT alternative! Those students who do get caught carrying prohibited devices run the risk of being dismissed from their school and end of with this type of violation in their permanent school records. The small button near the top activates the flashlight and must be held down continuously to activate the light. The light is not very bright, but I believe it was not intended to serve as a beacon. It is just bright enough to find something that might be dropped inside your car or to see a car door's key opening. So with all of this said, I give this device my HIGHEST recommendations! I plan on buying one of these for each of the important people in my life and would recommend that you do the same!

Was looking for something that would truly be heard from a fair distance away and would not be too bulky and this fitted both needs. The alarm is easy to acivate and is extremely loud. I am very pleased with it.
